Readers should be told what data is collected through analytics, forms, newsletters, and operational tooling; how long it is kept; and how to request changes where appropriate.
This template does not activate measurement by itself. Where this publication activates Google Analytics 4 or Google Ads through Google Tag Manager, its reviewed notice must explain conversion and article-engagement measurement; cookies and advertising identifiers; approximate location, device, browser, and page-interaction data; the selected Analytics retention period; and how consent can be accepted, rejected, or withdrawn. Personalized advertising, remarketing, enhanced conversions, and user-provided data must remain off unless they receive separate authorization and disclosure. Measurement events must not include names, email addresses, phone numbers, form fields, subscriber details, free text, or full query strings. Newsletter measurement must remain disabled until the named provider confirms a successful subscription and the publication documents consent, unsubscribe, suppression, and retention handling.
